LO4: Post-Production - Process Report (P6,M3)

 

In this screenshot, you can observe me uploading content on YouTube. Specifically, I was posting my final first Ident. Additionally, I renamed the ident to fit with the right ident final piece. Another decision point was categorizing the ident as suitable for kids or not. Given its intended broadcast on TV for a diverse audience, I designated it as appropriate for everyone. My Ident was also suitable for younger children as it is a children's based programme and following the brief.


This screenshot displays the successive stages of uploading my idents. In this specific instance, I uploaded my initial final ident. The initial task involved creating the file as a master file to ensure good video quality upon upload. After processing, the next step was to access settings and modify the video quality. Following this, I saved the video in a designated file to ensure accessibility for uploading it on YouTube.

Within this screenshot, I engaged in the editing process for my final ident , conducting thorough checks before the upload. The details of these checks are visible in the screenshot, like the sounds and additional add on such as video clips. The use of my sounds and their pitch can be see in the screenshot.

In this screenshot, I had used a website to find the necessary music for my ident. To then Converting the music track into an MP3 file. The procedure consisted of copying the YouTube link and pasting it into the converter, where I could choose the desired quality before initiating the download and then saving it into my download drive.


In this screenshot, I've acquired the music from my MP3 player and stored it in my drive under the Downloads section. After clicking on the music tab within my downloads, I transferred it to my Final Cut Pro project. This step enables me to proceed with the editing phase of my Final Cut Pro project.

LO4: Analysis and applications of findings Pt2

 I gathered feedback from my teacher, and she suggested the following improvements to fix my ident:

Ident 1:

. The CBBC Logo needs to be on the correct side of the screen

. The shots needs to be shortened down to fit 30 seconds

. The Characters names should be seen on the screen and focused onto the scientist

. Shots will need to be re-filmed when doing the experiments

. End of the ident should match in time with the ending

Ident 2:

. Shots needs to be re filmed to make sense of the ident

. CBBC Logo needs to be corrected and put on the right hand of the screen

. music needs to be added on to the ident

. Ident shots needs to fit into 30 seconds and certain scenes need to be taken out

. Why is Millie making eye contact at the camera Angle

. Shots needs to be smooth and not positioned at an awkward angle

 Through audience research, I identified aspects that were successful and areas that require improvement in both of my idents.

What went well?

Ident 2:

What went well?

. Video matches storyboard

. Ident has a good purpose and understanding

What needs to be improved?

. Shorten Ident videos down

. have a clear understand and match its end goal

When considering the improvements of the idents I am going to only improve the following:

Ident 1:

. shots need to be shortened

. shots need to be focusing on the characters more

. a clear understanding needs to shown.

. CBBC Logo needs to be corrected.

Ident 2:

. shots need to be shortened

. a clear understanding needs to be shown

. CBBC Logo needs to be corrected

. music or voiceover needs to be added

Reasons why I decided not to improve the other improvements:

I chose not to make further improvements primarily due to the limited time remaining in the project. I aim to ensure that, in creating these idents, there is a deliberate effort to introduce a level of contrast and differentiation between them.

LO4: Post Production Edits and Transitions Repost

 


In this screenshot, I positioned a music track just beneath the footage to serve as a background during recording, ensuring audience is engaged. Concluding my ident , I introduced a background and incorporated text to prominently display the channel's logo. For instance, towards the end of the ident, I have added a transition with the upcoming programme and the date and time of the programme.


In this image, I've organized all the footage intended for my ident. Various transitions have been incorporated to enhance the overall quality of the ident. I included effects like slides push and a right move transition. The choice of these transitions was deliberate, aiming to create an engaging and captivating effect that would grab the audience's interest in both the ident and the channel.

The purpose of this shot is to show that I have taken this shot as it is a shot that is in my final ident. This shot plays a part in the second final ident as an introduction to the ident.
